Welcome to the thriving school community at Kilmaine Primary School and Nursery Unit.

Kilmaine is a happy, caring school where hard work and good behaviour are an expectation for all.  Our school motto is ‘Everyone Counts’ and all our partnerships with governors, pupils, parents, staff and the broader community embed this positive ethos.

Relationships with our parents are strong and we operate a genuine open-door policy, as we work together to help every child reach their potential; not only academically, but also socially, emotionally, physically and morally.  We are proud of the hugely diverse and enriching teaching and learning opportunities delivered by a creative, committed staff who are passionate about what they do.  Within an inclusive culture, we support all of our children to develop and grow in a child-centred provision which caters for all needs and abilities.

Kilmaine Primary School and Nursery Unit is a large campus with almost 700 pupils in attendance.  We are immensely proud of our well-kept building, extensive grounds and multiple outdoor learning and Forest School areas.  I warmly invite you to explore our school website further and the official Kilmaine Primary School and Nursery Unit Facebook page, to get more of a flavour about what we do.

Yours sincerely,

Rachael Sinnamon (Mrs)

Principal

    Parent Audit - September 2025

Parental feedback is vital in shaping the future of our school. Alongside our open-door policy and consultations, we are issuing a short Parent Survey to gather your views, following the last full survey in June 2024. It includes general questions, specific feedback on our new Key Stage 2 spelling scheme, and space to share positives or suggestions for improvement. The survey is open until Tuesday 14 October 2025 and can be completed anonymously. Thank you for helping us continue to improve and grow together.
